What is Open Access Solar?
Solar open access is a policy or regulatory framework that enables consumers, businesses, and industries to procure solar energy directly from solar power generators located outside their premises. It allows consumers to buy solar electricity from a solar power producer situated at a different location within the same distribution network, rather than relying solely on electricity supplied by their local utility.

Remote Solar Generation:

This process, known as wheeling, involves transmitting electricity from one location to another. Additionally, excess electricity can be banked or credited to the consumer’s account for future use.
